I’m running into a critical issue after switching from the Oracle Linked Service 1.0 to 2.0. Everything worked fine before the upgrade. Now my pipeline fails on the Sink side with the following error:

Failure happened on 'Sink' side. ErrorCode=SqlOperationFailed,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.HybridDeliveryException,Message=A database operation failed. Please search error to get more details.,Source=Microsoft.DataTransfer.ClientLibrary,''Type=System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException,Message=Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.

Parameter name: value,Source=Microsoft.DataTransfer.DataContracts,'

Has anyone experienced this after upgrading? Any guidance or quick solution would be greatly appreciated. I’m trying to resolve this urgently.

Thanks in advance!

Srinivas

    Hi Thalluri, Srinivas Yaswanth,

Please update your SHIR to version 5.56 or above. In these versions, Oracle V2 allows you to customize the precision and scale for Oracle NUMBER types in the copy source (as shown in the screenshot).
