Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I urgently request your assistance in unblocking my Microsoft account:

Email: ******@gmail.com

My HP laptop is currently locked due to BitLocker encryption and requires the BitLocker recovery key that is saved in this Microsoft account. Unfortunately, my account is blocked and I am unable to access the key.

I would like to clarify that I never manually enabled BitLocker on my device. It appears that BitLocker (Device Encryption) was automatically enabled by Windows without my knowledge, and now I am unexpectedly required to enter the recovery key.

I attempted to reset my password successfully, but the system asks for second-step verification on my old Italian phone number (+39 3284874254), which has been deactivated since I moved back to India in 2023. Therefore, I cannot complete the verification and access my account.

This Microsoft account has always been used only by me and I am the sole and legitimate owner. All important data, including critical personal and business files, are stored on my laptop and are now inaccessible due to the BitLocker lock.

I kindly request Microsoft to provide any possible solution to restore access to my account or to allow me to retrieve the BitLocker recovery key. This issue is extremely urgent as I risk permanent loss of essential data.

Thank you for your understanding and prompt support. I look forward to your immediate assistance.

Sincerely,

Asif SolankiScreenshot_2025-12-04-19-41-22-91_92460851df6f172a4592fca41cc2d2e6

Hi, sorry but unfortunately, Microsoft cannot bypass or remove the second verification step for security reasons. To regain access, you must either:

Start the security info update process by selecting “I don’t have any of these” during sign-in and adding your current details (this requires a mandatory 30-day waiting period), or

Use the 25-character recovery code if you saved it when enabling two-step verification.

If neither option is possible and you urgently need your files, your best alternative is to contact your device manufacturer or a certified data recovery service for assistance with BitLocker.
