Windows lässt sich nicht aktivieren

Guten Tag,

Marc Heyn

To resolve the issue with Windows 11 not activating, consider the following steps:

    1. Check Product Key Validity: Ensure that the product key you are using is valid and has not been used on another device. If it was previously used on your old PC, it may need to be deactivated there first.
    2. Run Activation Troubleshooter: Since you mentioned trying the troubleshooter, make sure to run it again by going to Settings > Update & Security > Activation and selecting Troubleshoot. This can help identify any specific issues.
    3. Ensure Internet Connectivity: Make sure your PC is connected to the internet, as activation requires communication with Microsoft servers.
    4. Use Elevated Command Prompt: Sometimes, running commands in an elevated Command Prompt can help. Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Then, you can try the command slmgr.vbs /ato to attempt activation again.
    5. Check for Hardware Changes: If you have changed significant hardware components, such as the motherboard, this can affect activation. You may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance in reactivating Windows after hardware changes.
    6. Contact Microsoft Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support directly for further assistance. They can provide guidance specific to your situation.

If you continue to experience issues, please provide any error codes you encounter during the activation process, as they can help diagnose the problem further.

Hi Marc, thanks for reaching out.

When Windows shows that it’s not activated after a hardware change, it usually means the license is still linked to your old PC.

Windows activation works by matching your product key to the hardware profile, so replacing parts like the motherboard makes it look like a new device.

The first thing I’d check is whether your license is retail or OEM because OEM keys can’t be moved to another machine.

If it’s retail, you can reactivate by signing in with the same Microsoft account you used before and running the activation troubleshooter under Settings then go to Update & Security then click Activation.

If that doesn’t work, you can enter the key again using the command prompt or use the phone activation option.

Quick question, do you remember if your old PC was linked to your Microsoft account?

That will make this process much easier.

    Regards,
    Aron
