    Hi @Lynn Mercer

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand you’re seeing the message: “There was a problem with the video conferencing app. Contact the app provider for help.” when trying to add a Microsoft Teams meeting to your Google Calendar.

This error usually occurs when the Microsoft Teams add-on for Google Calendar is not fully authorized or has lost permissions.

There are a few steps you can try:

    1/ Check the Add-on installation

    • Open Google Calendar → Settings → Add-ons.
    • Ensure Microsoft Teams Meeting is installed. If it is, remove and reinstall it from the Google Workspace Marketplace

    2/ Reauthorize your Microsoft account

    • After reinstalling, sign in again and grant all requested permissions.

3/ Clear browser cache or try incognito mode

Proceed by clearing cache and cookies from your browser to prevent potential conflicts.

    • Open your browser settings and clear temporary internet files, cookies, and cached images.
    • For accuracy, choose the option to delete cached data for at least the last 7 days.
    • Once cleared, close and reopen the browser fully (do not just refresh).   User's image

After clearing the cache, please open a private or incognito window in your browser to continue:

    • For Google Chrome:

Click on the vertical three-dot menu and select New Incognito Window.

    • For Microsoft Edge:     Click the horizontal three-dot menu and choose New InPrivate Window.      User's image

After opening a private window, please return to the Teams web page.

    4/ Alternative workaround

    • If the add-on still fails, create the meeting in Microsoft Teams or Outlook first, then copy the Teams link into your Google Calendar event.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.
