If your wife is having persistent issues logging into her Hotmail account even after multiple password resets, here are some troubleshooting steps she can try:

    1. Check Account Status: Ensure that her account is not blocked. Sometimes accounts can be temporarily suspended due to suspicious activity.
    2. Clear Browser Cache: If she is trying to log in through a web browser, clearing the browser's cache and cookies can resolve login issues.
    3. Use a Different Browser or Device: Trying to log in from a different web browser or device can help determine if the issue is browser-related.
    4. Enable Self-Service Password Reset: If this feature is enabled by her global admin, she can use it to reset her password again using her security information.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, it may be necessary to contact Microsoft support for further assistance, especially if the account recovery process is not working as expected.

It's also a good idea to ensure that she is using the correct email address and that there are no typos when entering her credentials.

Hello Jan, thanks for the message.

When a Hotmail account repeatedly requests a new password but denies entry, it is often due to Microsoft's security system detecting a risk. This blocks login, even after password resets. This could stem from an incorrect username, outdated device or app data, or the account being temporarily blocked post-recovery.

To resolve this, try signing in at account.live.com on a computer browser using the full email address and manually entering the new password. If two-step verification is active, use a different verification method. Clear your browser cache or use a private window. For Outlook or other mail apps, remove and then re-add the account after a successful web login.

Visit aka.ms/comprecovery to check that the account is not in a cooldown and that the recovery details are current. If access remains blocked, submit the Microsoft Account Recovery form again from a different trusted device and network. Wait 48 hours without trying to log in.

To diagnose: Are you seeing incorrect password, account locked, or an undelivered code? Is two-step verification on? Are you logging in on the web or only through an app? Did you change the password on one device and immediately try logging in on another?
