I have a problem with my authenticator application because I changed my mobile device and I’m not sure how to access it.

I have no access to my original email at all without the authenticator.

My second problem is that when I click on "Log in with other options," I have two-factor authentication activated, which includes my mobile number and another backup email.

I received the code only on my mobile number and haven’t received a code on my backup email.

I don’t know what to do, and I’m not quite sure which email I used as my backup. I can access my Outlook on my laptop since it’s already signed in. Please help.

Hi. Do you still have access to your Outlook on your laptop?

If yes use that signed-in session to go to your Microsoft account’s Security settings at account.microsoft.com/security. There you can remove the old Authenticator and add a new sign-in method using your phone or another email.

If you can’t access any backup email or phone number that works, fill out the account recovery form (account.live.com/acsr) and give as much account info as you can (old passwords, contacts, used services).

Is your laptop-signed-in Outlook still working now?
