I have Microsoft Professional Plus 2016 and I know that it was phased out by Microsoft. I do not want an online Office 365. Anyway, all of a sudden, it started to crash every time I tried to change the font in an Excel spreadsheet. Please advise.

- Does this problem occur in all spreadsheets? Create a new spreadsheet, create some tables, and see if the problem persists.
- Are your spreadsheets saved locally or on OneDrive? Click the blue cloud icon in the taskbar (if available) and see if your account is synchronized.
- Do you use custom fonts?
- Did this problem occur after installing any fonts, updates, programs...?
While I await your response, try an online repair.
Windows 10
- Open Windows Settings (Windows + I) > Apps > Apps & Features.
- Search for "Microsoft 365" or "Microsoft Office <Year> (2019, 2021)" > Click on the app > Change > Online Repair > Repair.
- When the repair is complete, restart your computer.
Windows 11
- Open Windows Settings (Windows + I) > Apps > Installed Apps.
- Search for "Microsoft 365" or "Microsoft Office <Year> (2019, 2021)" > Click on the 3 Dots (●●●) > Change > Online Repair > Repair.
- When the repair is complete, restart your computer.
