To upgrade from Planner Basic to a premium plan, follow these steps:

    1. Open the basic plan in the new Planner application.
    2. Select More ().
    3. Under Add premium views, select People, Goals, or Assignments.
    4. Confirm that you want to convert your basic plan into a premium plan by selecting Yes, convert now.

Please note that this process can take a few minutes to complete. Once the conversion is done, you and your team will be redirected to the premium plan.

If the Convert tab in Planner is not functioning, ensure that you have the necessary permissions and that your organization allows the conversion of basic plans to premium plans. Additionally, make sure you are using a Microsoft 365 account that has access to the premium features.

If you are still experiencing issues, consider checking with your IT administrator to ensure that there are no restrictions in place regarding plan conversions.

    Hi CC

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum

To better understand your situation and give the best advice, may I clarify a few more details:

1.What is the exact name of the plan you’re trying to upgrade?

2.Are you the owner of this plan, or just a member?

3.What Microsoft 365 subscription do you (or your organization) currently have? (e.g., Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, E5, Planner Plan 1, Project Plan 1/3/5, etc.)

4.Have you already purchased or started a trial of a Premium/Project plan, or are you still on the old free/Basic version?

5.When you click the “Convert to premium” button (in Plan settings), what exactly happens? Nothing at all / spinning forever / error message (if yes, what does the error say?) / Redirects somewhere else?

The initial response may not fully address your needs, but it will help me better understand your situation and give the advice. Thank you for your patience while we work through it
