I’m still fairly new to SharePoint. We recently integrated our ERP system with OneDrive for Business to allow users to upload supporting documents for their transactions. We’ve automated folder creation using Microsoft Power Automate—so when a new item is created and saved, a corresponding folder is automatically generated. A link to that folder is then supposed to appear in the ERP interface, enabling users to upload files directly from their PC or laptop.

This setup was working well initially, but recently, the folder links have stopped generating. The folders themselves are still being created successfully, but no links are being attached to allow users to upload their supporting documents from the ERP interface.

Could someone please guide me on how to manually add links to these folders so our users can continue uploading their files? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Michelle,

Thank for your quick reply to my post. In your reply, you asked for more details and what is my execpetd results. I want to manually add link to folders that are created without link to map to our ERP. I have troubleshoot our power autmeatic workflow but is not fully working well like before. Some folders are created with link why others no link. Lastly, I follwed the step you send about adding links manually and I got this error: You can't share this item because too many items have already been shared in this library. If you have already tried adding permissions manually and are still encountering the error, I found some important documentation regarding SharePoint limits that likely explains the issue:

When a folder, library, or list contains more than 100,000 items, you can neither break permission inheritance nor reinherit permissions on the folder, library, or list. However, you can still break inheritance on the individual items within that folder, library, or list, up to the maximum number of unique permissions.

The supported limit of unique permissions for items in a list or library is 50,000. However, the recommended general limit is 5,000. Making changes to more than 5,000 uniquely permitted items at a time takes longer. Therefore, for large lists, design the list to have as few unique permissions as possible.

To fix this issue, please use the following methods:

Reduce the number of items in the folder, library, or list where you want to break or reinherit permissions. (You can move some items out first, apply the permission changes, and then move them back).

Reduce the number of uniquely permitted items in the list or library.

Alternatively, I recommend creating a new library in SharePoint or OneDrive to reduce the number of items with unique permissions and avoid the sharing limit error.
