First question how hard is it to provide a telephone number so I can speak to a person ?

Second you are taking money each year for subscription I no longer use or have access to and linked to e mail which has been shut down.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Here are the options to contact Microsoft Support:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Billing Issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

Phone Support (for business accounts): https://support.microsoft.com/topic/customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

Also, from what you have mentioned: "you are taking money each year for subscription I no longer use or have access to and linked to e mail which has been shut down."

Please be advised that unless the account owner is able to access the account, subscription cancellation is not possible, and Microsoft personnel cannot retrieve this information.

If you are no longer able to access or recover your account, you will need to reach out directly to your bank and request to freeze all charges from Microsoft, cancelling the subscription in the process.

You may also need to request a new payment method.

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
