The Open Folder is forgotten once the solution is opened.

When using the Open Folder feature within Visual Studio 2026 and then use the Views option (Switch Between solutions and available Views) in Solution Explorer to open a solution, the Views option forgets the original Open Folder and you only see items in the subfolder where the solution exists.

For example, with a file structure as follows:

  • Project Group
    • Project1.MvcFolder
      • Project1.Mvc.sln
    • Project2.NugetFolder
      • Project2.Nuget.sln
    • Project3.SsdtFolder
      • Project3.Ssdt

In VS 2022, I would open the folder Project Group. Then I would use Solution Explorer's View to easily switch between projects related to the current program. In VS 2026, once you click a solution, for instance, Project2.Nuget.sln, the Solution Explorer's View changes the location to Project2.NugetFolder and only shows me the one solution.

Is there a way to switch back to the old behavior?
