This is the same computer with the same windows 11 install for the last 3 years. Same case, same GPU, same hard drives and peripherals that were on the computer 36 hours ago. I changed the motherboard/CPU and Microsoft says I need to buy a new license.

    Hello, MSK.

Not all types of licenses have the right to transfer to another device, and replacing the motherboard is considered a new device. Please specify how Windows was obtained - as a pre-installed (OEM) or as a standalone version purchased separately from the PC (BOX or ESD)? Also, post a screenshot of the slmgr.vbs /dlv command window here.
