recently extended my Windows 10 coverage but when tried to log in to surface 3pro, it wanted my recovery code which I have but just was wondering if it times out.

I recently extended my Windows 10 coverage but when tried to log in to surface 3pro, it wanted my recovery code which I have but just was wondering if it times out. I have two emails that have similar prefix but different suffix (@outlook and @hotmail ) I don't want to reset their corresponding recovery keys bc I don't want to loose access to backup info in the cloud for them. Please provide some assurance on why I am being requested the recovery key and whether the one I have from a while back will work . The recovery key is being requested on my surface pro 3 windows 10 laptop. Also, please provide any articles that would be helpful in proceeding to log into this laptop. thank you for your help ani

2025-12-05T23:08:27.93+00:00 Also, I cant type in my recovery key with the usual keyboard I use w my surface pro 3 (it allows numbers but no letters). I used a brand new keyboard and still was not able to type the code into the field. my screen is frozen. plz provide suggestions on how to bypass this to use my laptop and retrieve my info on it
