Hello,
I am writing because my Microsoft account was taken over, and despite having full knowledge of the account history, I am unable to recover it through the automated system.
What happened
- I received security verification codes before the attacker gained control, which indicates attempted unauthorized access.
- Shortly after, all recovery information (phone, secondary email, password, etc.) was changed without my permission.
- I am still logged into this Microsoft account on my Windows device, but I cannot access account details because the hacker changed the security information.
Proof of Ownership
I can provide:
- Full password history (in correct chronological order)
- Exact creation date (year and month)
- First device ever linked to this account
- Region and IP that were consistently used
- Past purchase/payment information if required
- Previous recovery email and phone number
- Account alias history
- Consistent login location over several years
What I already tried
- I submitted the account recovery form multiple times.
- Customer support told me that the account is “completely lost” because security info was changed.
- However, I still have direct access on my Windows device, which confirms I was the original and legitimate owner.
Critical concern
The recovery system rejected me even though:
- I never lost access prior to the takeover
- I received verification codes that I did not request
- I still possess the primary email address originally tied to the account
This raises a critical issue:
If a legitimate, fully verifiable owner cannot regain access while an attacker can, the system is not functioning as intended.
Request
I am requesting an escalation beyond standard support:
Please escalate my case to the Microsoft Account Takeover Investigation Team / Global Escalation Team.
I am not asking for manual override, only for human‑level verification of the data that proves original ownership. I have every detail Microsoft requires — the automated form simply fails to recognize it.
Goal
I need the original security data restored, or at minimum, removal of my personal email from the hijacked account, so the attacker cannot use my identity any further.
Thank you for your time.
I am ready to provide any verification required, including device ID, account creation info, and historical login evidence. Hello,
