There's suppose to be an Xbox PC Toolbox in the MS Store that'll allow me to connect to the Xbox Ally remotely but I cannot find it. Documentation says you'll find it in the Retail store but I cannot find it. I've also searched for it in my dev sandbox's store. Tried on 3 different PCs.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thx!

    Hi @Rob Hamiter ,

Thanks for reaching out Microsoft Q&A. The Xbox PC Toolbox is indeed not available in the public Microsoft Store. It is strictly limited to authorized GDK developers and usually requires a specific Sandbox environment to be visible. Limitations and dependencies

Since you mentioned you already checked your Dev Sandbox store and couldn't find it, please try the following steps:

    1. Check your GDK Installation Folder (Recommended)

Based on the documentation link you provided, you are looking for the PC Remote Tools to connect to your device (likely the ASUS ROG Ally). You often don't need the Store for this.

Check your development machine where the GDK is installed:

    • Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft GDK\bin (or your custom install path).
    • Look for an installer named PC Remote Tools or similar.
    • Copy that installer to your ROG Ally and run it directly.

    2. Verify GDK Entitlements

If you specifically need the Store version:

    • Ensure your account has a valid GDK access agreement in Partner Center.
    • Ensure you are signed into the Store on the target device with the same account authorized for the GDK.
    • Sometimes, simply switching the Store to "Developer Mode" isn't enough; the account itself must be provisioned.

If you are still stuck, please open a GDK Support Ticket via Partner Center (Support > Developer Programs > GDK Assistance) so we can check your account permissions directly.
