My husband set up our Microsoft 365 Subscription on an old email address that we no longer have access to. We have bought a new computer and I can't access the subscription to activate my Microsoft365. You keep charging our credit card every year even though we can't access it. You are about to charge my card in 2 days time. How can I fix this?

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Microsoft Q&A is public, and we can only provide information. It is beyond our capability to assist directly with the account or billing-related concerns.

Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the original account that you no longer have access to, unfortunately, the subscription itself cannot be transferred to a new account.

    The best steps now are:

Microsoft Account Recovery form is currently the only official way to recover your account. You can try it up to twice a day. https://account.live.com/acsr

Contact the bank to block or stop the recurring payment

    • I also recommend contacting your bank or card provider to block those charges until your account is secured.
    • I know it’s not ideal, but these are the safest ways to prevent unwanted charges while you regain control.

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
