When you create a presentation using Microsoft 365 Copilot, it generates the new presentation in a new file without affecting the original presentation. This means that the presentation will be saved in the default location set by your PowerPoint application, which is typically the "Documents" folder on your computer unless you specified a different location during the saving process.

If you haven't changed the default save location, you can check your "Documents" folder for the presentation file.

Hi Martinez, Mario L. (OIT MIA),

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum. When Copilot creates a new presentation in PowerPoint, it automatically saves the file to OneDrive rather than your local computer. This ensures your work is backed up and accessible across devices, but it can also make the file seem “missing” if you’re expecting it on your desktop or in Documents.

Here are the easiest places to look:

    • OneDrive → Recent Files: This is the most common location where Copilot‑generated presentations appear.
    • PowerPoint → Home → Recent: Your presentation may show up here even if you didn’t manually save it.

I look forward to receiving your update. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
