It sounds like you're experiencing issues with installing games on your Windows 10 laptop, specifically related to the Xbox app and gaming features. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

    1. Ensure Gaming Services are Up to Date: Sometimes, outdated Gaming Services can cause installation issues. You can check for updates and force an update by following these steps:
      • Launch PowerShell as an administrator.
      • Enter the command: get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
      • In the same PowerShell window, enter: start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
      • Install the app on that page and accept any prompts.
      • Try installing the game again.
    2. Check Xbox App Updates: Make sure your Xbox app is up to date. If it has been a while since you last updated it, you may need to:
      • Switch to RETAIL mode if you are in a dev sandbox.
      • Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter: get-appxpackage Microsoft.XboxApp | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
      • Then, enter: start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9mv0b5hzvk9z to install the Xbox app again.
    3. Install Gaming Features: If the installation prompts you to download gaming features, ensure that you have enabled Developer Mode on your PC:
      • Open Settings.
      • Search for Developer and select Use developer features.
      • Enable Developer mode and wait for the process to finish.
    4. Reinstall Gaming Runtime Services: If you continue to have issues, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the Gaming Runtime Services (GRTS):
      • Open a PowerShell Admin command prompt.
      • Execute: get-appxpackage *gamings*
      • Remove the package with: remove-package <package fullname from step 2 for the gamingservices package>.
      • Open the Xbox app and install a game to trigger the installation of the gaming services package from the Microsoft Store.

Following these steps should help resolve the issues you're facing with game installation on your laptop. If the problem persists, consider checking your internet connection or any firewall settings that might be blocking the installation process.
