terminal-mode commands to re-enable network drive mapping

would like to find a previous solution to network drive mapping involving command-line enabling of smb function -- works for this machine but forgot to save the solution for another PC that lost connectivity

    Take a look at some commands bellow, remember running them requires elevated permission:

    EnableInsecureGuestLogons

    Set-SmbClientConfiguration -EnableInsecureGuestLogons $true
    

    Disable RequireSecuritySignature

    Set-SmbClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false
    

    Map a location

    New-PSDrive -Persist -Name "X" -PSProvider "FileSystem" -Root "\\Server01\Public"
    

    Make sure to replace X with your preferred drive letter and \\Server01\Public with the actual path to your network share.
