How to reinstall Math Recognizer in Windows 10 Settings Optional features

Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. In regards with your problem, you are not stuck. Math recognizer is not a classic "Windows feature" which is why it does not appear in "Turn Windows features on or off".

Try to do these steps below to restore your Math recognizer.

A. Reinstall from settings.

1. Open Settings..
2. Go to Apps.
3. Click Optional features and not Apps & features.
4. Click Add a feature.
5. Scroll down or search for Math Recognizer.
6. Select it > Install.
7. Restart Windows when finished. If Math recognizer appears here, this will fix it immediately.

B. Install Math recognizer through PowerShell

1. Open PowerShell as administrator.
2. Check if Math recognizer is available. Get-WindowsCapability -Online | Where-Object Name -like "MathRecognizer"
3. You should see like:
   MathRecognizer~~~~0.0.1.0
4. Reinstall Math recognizer.
   Add-WindowsCapability -Online -Name MathRecognizer~~~~0.0.1.0
5. Wait for Status: Installed.
6. Restart Windows.
7. If you get an error like "Source files could not be found". Run this first.
   DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
8. Reboot and run the Add Windows capability command again.
