    This is normal behavior and shouldn't affect your connection.

    The cable itself doesn't have an identity - Windows identifies networks by the router/gateway MAC address. If you're connecting to the same router, Windows will recognize it as the same network regardless of cable quality.

    As stated, the cable doesn't have an identification on the network, the only difference you will see changing the cable to a better one is better stability and speeds if your previous cable could not reach the maximum supported link speed for your connection.
