Thanks for sharing the details, Terry! Try to check if a View Filter is hiding newer mail (very common)

Outlook sometimes opens with a filtered view that only shows older messages.

    Fix

    Go to Inbox

    Click View tab

    Click View Settings

    Click Filter

On Messages, More Choices, and Advanced tabs:

    • Make sure nothing is set

    Click Clear All

    OK → OK

    Also try:

    View → Reset View

See if this helps. If you need further assistance just let me know.

    Best regards,

    Kimberly

To resolve the issue of Outlook pulling up old emails instead of current ones, you may need to adjust your synchronization settings. Here are some steps you can follow:

    1. Check Cached Exchange Mode: Ensure that your Outlook is set to use Cached Exchange Mode. This mode allows Outlook to keep a local copy of your mailbox, which can improve performance and allow offline access.
      • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
      • Select your Microsoft Exchange account and click Change.
      • Make sure the Use Cached Exchange Mode checkbox is selected.
    2. Adjust Mail to Keep Offline Setting: If you are using Cached Exchange Mode, you can adjust how much mail is kept offline:
      • In the same Change Account dialog, find the Mail to keep offline slider and adjust it to All to sync all emails.
      • Click Next, then Finish, and restart Outlook to apply the changes.
    3. Check Server Connection: Ensure that Outlook is properly connected to your email server. If there are connectivity issues, it may not be able to retrieve the latest emails.
    4. Manual Send/Receive: You can also try manually sending and receiving emails to force Outlook to sync with the server. Go to the Send/Receive tab and click Send/Receive All Folders.
    5. Check Email Server Settings: If you are using a POP3 or IMAP account, ensure that your server settings are correct and that the server is functioning properly.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider checking for updates to Outlook or consulting your email provider for further assistance.
