On my return from Zambia there should be a new laptop waiting for me at work: and I saw the option is available to go for an flash-based disk instead of a mechanical (platter & head) traditional hard disk. I've read a bit about that idea and know Vista has various performance options to support it like ReadyDrive. But since I'm a Hyper-V fan, I want a more hard core look into the implications. As luck would have it, Microsoft Research published a detailed analysis of Enterprise considerations. Enjoy!
