Importare manualmente una VM in Hyper-V

Oggi un collega ha avuto necessità di eseguire questa procedura ed ho pensato di mettere un “segnalibro” anche qui :)

Come posso importare una Virtual Machine in Hyper-V?

Il modo ottimale consiste nel seguire la procedura di Export dalla macchina origine ed eseguire l’import su quella destinazione.

… Non ho un export :( !

Se per qualche ragione non ci fosse questa possibilità, esiste una procedura non supportata descritta da Robert: How to manually add a VM Configuration to Hyper-V .

NOTE:

This is not a supported way of adding a VM to Hyper-V. Use this just for disaster recovery, and once you are able to run the VM, backup your VM and recreate it from scratch.

If you restore to a different drive/ or folder, you may need to manually adjust the path to the VHD, and Snapshots make this far more complicated .

NOTE2: This procedure does not work on Windows Server 2008 R2.

Once again: Not Supported :-) Poi non dite che non lo sapevate :-P
