During Steve Ballmer’s keynote at Tech-Ed 2005, he announced the support of application-level add-ins for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System. Now you can create managed add-ins for Outlook using the Outlook add-in project template in Visual Studio.
