Business value
The Discount and Fee feature enables users to apply discounts and fees on project quotes and contracts. It's designed for Time and Material business processes. Business teams can set up line discounts and fees on both project quotation lines and contract lines. These discounts and fees apply to all related project transactions, including timesheets, expenses, journals, and material usage. This feature also ensures that project invoices show the correct discounts and fees.
Feature details
The Discount and Fee feature enables the use of line discounts and fees in projects. It's designed for business processes that use the Time and Material billing type. Organizations can apply discounts to contracts with customers or charge extra fees, such as administrative fees. Dynamics 365 Project Operations lets you set discount and fee percentages at the project quotation or contract line level. When you generate and approve a transaction, the system automatically applies the relevant discount or fee based on the contract line configuration. It also updates the actuals.
