With this feature, system administrators can lock down production environments to prevent unmanaged customizations. When you use this feature, you ensure that only approved application lifecycle management (ALM) processes bring changes to the production system. These processes provide safety, visibility, and auditing. The feature still allows solution operations that transport unmanaged customizations to development environments. These solution operations also remove unmanaged customizations to keep the production environment clean.
