IUPnPDescriptionDocument::DeviceByUDN

This method returns the device with the specified UDN contained within the loaded description document.

Syntax

HRESULT DeviceByUDN(
  BSTR bstrUDN,
  IUPnPDevice** ppudDevice
);

Parameters

• bstrUDN
  [in] Specifies the UDN of the device.

• ppudDevice
  [out] Receives a reference to an IUPnPDevice:IDispatch object that describes the device. This reference must be released when it is no longer needed.

Return Value

• S_OK
  This method was successful.

Otherwise, this method returns one of the COM error codes defined in WinError.h.

Remarks

Do not use DeviceByUDN unless a device description is first loaded using either IUPnPDescriptionDocument::Load orIUPnPDescriptionDocument::LoadAsync. The search operation only searches in the currently loaded device description.
