General Posting Setup Table

Specifies which accounts will be used to post sales, purchases, discounts, COGS, and inventory adjustments. You also set up interim accounts where you can post expected entries.

The general posting setup consists of combinations of general business posting groups and general product posting groups. You can set up as many combinations as you need and link G/L accounts to each combination.

After you have done this, when you fill in a line in a general journal or purchase or sales line, the program checks the General Posting Setup window to see which accounts to use for this particular combination of business group and product group.
