When an application being served by Telephony Application Services (TAS) or another client contains inline grammars, you must set security permissions for the client.
Use the Speech Services Security tab of the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in for Microsoft Speech Server 2004 (MSS) to assign read access to clients sending inline grammars to SES.
To open the MMC Administration console for MSS
- Click Start.
- Select All Programs, Microsoft Speech Server 2004, and then click MSS Management Console.
To assign access to clients sending inline grammars
- In the MMC console tree, expand the applicable group.
- In the details pane, double-click the computer running SES to open the SES properties page.
- Click the Speech Services Security tab.
- Next to Assign permission to send inline grammars, click Assign.
- On the Security tab for TrustedAccess.txt Properties, click Add.
- Click Object Types, select the Computers check box, and then click OK.
- In the Enter the object names to select field, do one of the following:
- For computers running TAS in a domain, enter DomainName\ComputerName.
- For multimodal clients, enter the domain user account or local user account of the user who will be running the MSS multimodal client application. You can also add a group if you have a large number of multimodal clients.
- For computers running TAS in a workgroup, enter the MSS_User account.
- Click Check Names, and then click OK.
- Verify that the account has only the Read permission selected in the Allow column, and then click OK.
Note All clients that require access to SES must be assigned permission to do so. See Assigning Permissions to Clients Using SES.
