This object identifier, when queried, returns the maximum number of MAC address states that a NIC can maintain at a time. A value of 0 implies that the number of MAC addresses a NIC can support is limited by system resources. Otherwise, the NIC driver must report a number which is at least 32. The NIC may choose to create a state for a MAC address based on the first MSDU transmitted to that MAC address. It may also choose to delete a MAC address when the state has remained idle for 1 minute based on a least recently used scheme.
