HWEnableIR (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

This function enables the infrared (IR) serial interface.

Syntax

BOOL HWEnableIR(
  PVOID pContext,
  ULONG BaudRate 
);

Parameters

• pContext
  [in] Pointer to a context structure returned by the HWInit function that contains implementation-specific data describing the device.

• BaudRate
  [in] Specifies the baud to set.

Return Value

TRUE indicates success. FALSE indicates failure. If an error occurs, the caller can return the error using GetLastError.

Remarks

This function sets the device to IR mode. It returns NULL if the device does not support IR mode.

This function supports the implementation of the lower layers of serial port drivers.
