The following tables show the hardware requirements for the Serial Communications Test.

Serial null modem cable and available serial ports |
Male-to-male null modem cable. A null modem cable differs from a standard serial cable in that it has its RX and TX lines crossed. |
Two Windows Embedded CE–based devices |
You must connect the devices to each other with the null modem cable. |
