This message is passed to the PDD_WaveProc function to instruct the audio PDD to indicate that the waveform device will be sent data of the specified format.

Parameters

• apidir
  Input and output; one of the following values.

  Value	Description
  WAPI_IN	Opens input path.
  WAPI_OUT	Opens output path.

• dwParam1
  Pointer to a WAVEFORMATEX structure that points to the format of the data to be played.
• dwParam2
  BOOL. TRUE indicates that the driver needs to check only if the specified format is supported. If the format is not supported, the driver returns WAVEERR_BADFORMAT. FALSE indicates that this WPDM_OPEN message is a genuine open request.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE 1.0 and later.
Header: Waveddsi.h.
