By default, all run-time images created in Target Designer are configured to use DHCP. You cannot configure a run-time image with a static IP address in Target Designer.
After a run-time image is deployed, you can set a static IP address by using the Net Shell (Netsh) utility.
To configure a static IP address on a run-time image
Open a command prompt on the run-time image.
Type the following Netsh syntax:
netsh interface ip set address <interface name> static <ip address> <mask> <default gateway> <gateway interface metric>For example, to set a static IP address of 192.168.1.10 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0, type the following command:
netsh interface ip set address "Local Area Connection" static 192.168.1.10 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1 1After configuring the static IP address, you can make additional configurations with Netsh, including setting addresses for multiple network interfaces or configuring routers.
