Identify which scope (universal, global, or domain local) you want to create for the group.

Use the appropriate administrative tool to create the group:

  • To create a local group on a workstation or member server, use Local Users and Groups in Computer Management.

  • To create a group in a Windows Server 2003 domain, use Active Directory Users and Computers.
