In this module, you learn how to set up Store Operations Agent in Copilot Studio. You're creating a structured and controlled environment that you can use to test and experiment with the Store Operations Agent in Copilot Studio.

Prerequisites

To complete this module, make sure that you meet the following prerequisites:

  • Microsoft Copilot Studio Trial
  • A Teams Enterprise license and Teams Administrator role assigned to the user
  • Access to the retail Microsoft Power Platform environment
  • Microsoft Teams licenses for your frontline workers

Personas and scenarios

In this module, you assume the role of Oscar, the global administrator. As Oscar, you perform the following tasks:

  • Obtain a Microsoft 365 E3 (no Teams) trial.

  • Add users and assign them specific administrative roles to complete exercises in this learning path.

    Important

    The global administrator role is an extremely privileged role that's meant as an emergency access account. Allowing only the global administrator role to perform a task or use a feature can lead to a proliferation of the assigned global administrator roles, and it forces an organization and its tenant to be overprivileged. Therefore, you must create alternative lower privileged roles and use those roles to perform a task or use the feature.

  • Add Microsoft Dataverse and assign the system administrator role to the Microsoft Power Platform environment.

Finally, you assume the role of Reed Smith, who has the system, user, and Teams Administrator security roles. As Reed, you obtain a Microsoft Copilot Studio Trial license for yourself, and then you add users and assign them the Microsoft Teams Enterprise licenses.
