[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. get_CCEnable determines whether closed captioning on the encoder is currently enabled.

Parameters
[out] lCCEnable
Specifies a pointer to a long integer to receive the current status of closed captioning on the encoder.

| 1 | Closed captioning enabled. |
| 0 | Closed captioning disabled. |
Return value
When this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise it returns an HRESULT error code.
