IAMExtTransport::GetChase method (strmif.h)

[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. The GetChase method retrieves the status of chase mode.

This method is not implemented.

Syntax

HRESULT GetChase(
  [out] long   *pEnabled,
  [out] long   *pOffset,
  [out] HEVENT *phEvent
);

Parameters

[out] pEnabled

Pointer to a long integer that receives one of the following values:

[out] pOffset

Pointer to a long integer that receives an offset from the present time, indicating the offset that the transport will maintain while playing. The offset is given in the current time format; see IAMExtTransport::SetTransportBasicParameters for more information.

[out] phEvent

Pointer to a variable that receives an event handle. The event is signaled when the chase offset is established.

Return value

When this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise it returns an HRESULT error code.
