ID3DXBaseEffect::GetTechniqueDesc method

Gets a technique description.

Syntax

HRESULT GetTechniqueDesc(
  [in]  D3DXHANDLE         hTechnique,
  [out] D3DXTECHNIQUE_DESC *pDesc
);

Parameters

hTechnique [in]

Type: D3DXHANDLE

Technique handle. See Handles (Direct3D 9).

pDesc [out]

Type: D3DXTECHNIQUE_DESC*

Returns a description of the technique. See D3DXTECHNIQUE_DESC.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK. If the method fails, the return value can be D3DERR_INVALIDCALL.
