If you're having trouble verifying your custom domain in Entra ID, here are some steps you can take:
- Wait at least an hour and try again: DNS records must propagate before you can verify the domain. This process can take an hour or more.
- Check the DNS record: Go back to your domain registrar (in your case, Namecheap) and ensure that the TXT record is correctly entered and matches the information provided in the Microsoft Entra admin center.
- Domain usage: Make sure that the domain name isn't already in use in another directory. A domain name can only be verified in one directory. If it's verified in another directory, you'll need to delete it from there first.
- Unmanaged Power BI tenants: If your users have activated Power BI and created an unmanaged tenant, you may need to take over management of that tenant using PowerShell.
