Los protocolos de seguridad de servicios web proporcionan mecanismos de seguridad de servicios web que cubren todos los requisitos de seguridad de mensajería empresarial existentes. En esta sección se describen los detalles de Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) (implementados en SecurityBindingElement) para los siguientes protocolos de seguridad de servicios web.
WCF, versión 1, proporciona 17 modos de autenticación que se pueden usar como base para la configuración de seguridad de servicios web. Cada modo está optimizado para un conjunto común de requisitos de implementación, como:

- Mecanismos de protección de seguridad de mensajes o transporte.

Los puntos de conexión que usan estos modos de autenticación pueden expresar sus requisitos de seguridad mediante WS-SecurityPolicy (WS-SP). En este documento se describe la estructura de los mensajes de encabezado de seguridad e infraestructura para cada modo de autenticación y se proporcionan ejemplos de directivas y mensajes.
WCF aprovecha WS-SecureConversation para proporcionar compatibilidad con sesiones seguras para proteger los intercambios de varios mensajes entre aplicaciones. Consulte "Sesiones seguras" a continuación para obtener más información sobre la implementación.
Además de los modos de autenticación, WCF proporciona la configuración para controlar los mecanismos de protección comunes que se aplican a la mayoría de los modos de autenticación basados en seguridad de mensajes, por ejemplo: orden de las operaciones de firma, conjuntos de algoritmos, derivación de claves y confirmación de firma.

1. Perfiles de token
Las especificaciones de seguridad de servicios web representan credenciales como tokens de seguridad. WCF admite los siguientes tipos de token:
1.1 UsernameToken
WCF sigue los perfiles UsernameToken10 y UsernameToken11 con las siguientes restricciones:
El atributo PasswordType R1101 del elemento UsernameToken\Password DEBE omitirse o tener un valor #PasswordText (valor predeterminado).
Se puede implementar el #PasswordDigest mediante la extensibilidad. Se ha observado que a menudo se confundía #PasswordDigest con un mecanismo de protección de contraseñas lo suficientemente seguro. Pero #PasswordDigest no puede servir como sustituto del cifrado de UsernameToken. El objetivo principal de #PasswordDigest es la protección contra ataques de reproducción. En los modos de autenticación de WCF, las amenazas de ataque de repetición se mitigan mediante firmas de mensaje.
WCF de B1102 nunca emite subelementos Nonce y Created del UsernameToken.
Estos subelementos están diseñados para ayudar a detectar las repeticiones. WCF usa firmas de mensaje en su lugar.
OASIS WSS SOAP Message Security UsernameToken Profile 1.1 (UsernameToken11) introdujo la derivación de claves de la característica de contraseña.
B1103 La contraseña UsernameToken no debe usarse para la derivación de claves y, por tanto, para las operaciones criptográficas.
Justificación: las contraseñas suelen considerarse demasiado débiles para usarse para las operaciones criptográficas.
1.2 Token X509
WCF admite certificados X509v3 como un tipo de credencial y sigue X509TokenProfile1.0 y X509TokenProfile1.1 con las siguientes restricciones:
R1201 El atributo ValueType del elemento BinarySecurityToken debe tener el valor #X509v3 cuando contiene un certificado X509v3.
WSS X509 Token Profile 1.0 y 1.1 definen también #X509PKIPathv1 y #PKCS7 como tipos de valor. WCF no admite estos tipos.
R1202 Si existe una extensión SubjectKeyIdentifier (SKI) en un certificado X509, wsse:KeyIdentifier debe usarse para referencias externas al token, con el atributo ValueType como #X509SubjectKeyIdentifier y su contenido, el valor codificado en base64 de la extensión SKI del certificado.
Las referencias SKI son ampliamente implementadas y probadas para ser un tipo de referencia externo altamente interoperable.
R1203 Una referencia externa al token de seguridad X509 NO DEBE usar ds:X509IssuerSerial.
R1204 Si X509TokenProfile1.1 está en uso, una referencia externa al token de seguridad X509 DEBE usar la huella digital introducida por WS-Security 1.1.
WCF admite X509IssuerSerial. Sin embargo, hay problemas de interoperabilidad con X509IssuerSerial: WCF usa una cadena para comparar dos valores de X509IssuerSerial. Por lo tanto, si uno reordena los componentes del nombre del sujeto y envía a un servicio WCF una referencia a un certificado, puede que no se encuentre.
1.3 Token de Kerberos
WCF admite KerberosTokenProfile1.1 para la autenticación de Windows con las siguientes restricciones:
R1301 Un Token Kerberos debe llevar el valor de un AP_REQ Kerberos v4 envuelto por GSS, tal como se define en GSS_API y la especificación Kerberos, y debe tener el atributo ValueType con el valor #GSS_Kerberosv5_AP_REQ.
WCF utiliza AP-REQ de Kerberos ajustado a GSS, no un AP-REQ desnudo. Se trata de un procedimiento recomendado de seguridad.
1.4 Token SAML v1.1
WCF admite perfiles de token SAML de WSS 1.0 y 1.1 para tokens de SAML v1.1. Es posible implementar otras versiones de formatos de token SAML.
1.5 Token de contexto de seguridad
WCF admite el token de contexto de seguridad (SCT) introducido en WS-SecureConversation. SCT se usa para representar un contexto de seguridad establecido en SecureConversation, así como los protocolos de negociación binaria TLS y SSPI, que se describen a continuación.
2. Parámetros comunes de seguridad de mensajes
2.1 TimeStamp
La presencia de marca de tiempo se controla mediante la IncludeTimestamp propiedad de la SecurityBindingElement clase . WCF siempre serializa wsse:TimeStamp con los campos wsse:Created y wsse:Expires. El wsse:TimeStamp siempre se firma cuando se utilizan las firmas.
2.2 Orden de protección
WCF admite el orden de protección de mensajes "Firmar antes de cifrar" y "Cifrar antes de firmar" (Directiva de seguridad 1.2). Se recomienda "Firmar antes de cifrar" por motivos como: los mensajes protegidos con Encrypt Before Sign están abiertos a ataques de sustitución de firmas a menos que se use el mecanismo de firma 1.1 SignatureConfirmation WS-Security y una firma sobre contenido cifrado dificulta la auditoría.
2.3 Protección de firmas
Cuando se usa Encrypt Before Sign, se recomienda proteger la firma para evitar ataques por fuerza bruta para adivinar el contenido cifrado o la clave de firma (especialmente cuando se usa un token personalizado con material de clave débil).
2.4 Conjunto de algoritmos
WCF admite todos los conjuntos de algoritmos enumerados en Directiva de seguridad 1.2.
2.5 Derivación de clave
WCF usa "Derivación de claves para claves simétricas", como se describe en WS-SecureConversation.
2.6 Confirmación de firma
La confirmación de firma se puede usar como protección frente a ataques de tipo middle man para proteger el conjunto de firmas.
2.7 Diseño de encabezado de seguridad
Cada modo de autenticación describe un determinado diseño para el encabezado de seguridad. Los elementos dentro del encabezado de seguridad están semi-ordenados. Para definir el orden de los elementos secundarios del encabezado de seguridad, WS-Security Policy define los siguientes modos de diseño de encabezado de seguridad:

WCF admite los cuatro modos para el diseño de encabezado de seguridad. Los ejemplos de mensajes y estructura de encabezados de seguridad para los modos de autenticación siguientes siguen el modo "Strict".
3. Parámetros comunes de seguridad de mensajes
En esta sección se proporcionan directivas de ejemplo para cada modo de autenticación junto con ejemplos que muestran la estructura de encabezado de seguridad en los mensajes intercambiados por el cliente y el servicio.
3.1 Protección de transporte
WCF proporciona cinco modos de autenticación que usan transporte seguro para proteger los mensajes; UserNameOverTransport, CertificateOverTransport, KerberosOverTransport, IssuedTokenOverTransport y SspiNegotiatedOverTransport.
Estos modos de autenticación se construyen mediante el enlace de transporte descrito en SecurityPolicy. Para el modo de autenticación UserNameOverTransport, UsernameToken es un token auxiliar firmado. Para los otros modos de autenticación, el token aparece como un token de avalación firmado. El apéndice C.1.2 y C.1.3 de SecurityPolicy describen detalladamente el diseño del encabezado de seguridad. Los encabezados de seguridad de ejemplo siguientes muestran el diseño Strict para un modo de autenticación determinado.
El valor de la propiedad "Claves derivadas" para los tokens en todos los casos es "false".
Los valores de las distintas propiedades del enlace de transporte son los siguientes:

3.1.1 UsernameOverTransport
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente se autentica con un token de nombre de usuario que aparece en la capa SOAP como un token auxiliar firmado que siempre se envía desde el iniciador al destinatario. El servicio se autentica mediante un certificado X.509 en la capa de transporte. El enlace utilizado es un enlace de transporte.

3.1.2 CertificateOverTransport
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente se autentica mediante un certificado X.509 que aparece en la capa SOAP como un token auxiliar que siempre se envía desde el iniciador al destinatario. El servicio se autentica mediante un certificado X.509 en la capa de transporte. El enlace utilizado es un enlace de transporte. CertificateOverTransport solo firma los encabezados SOAP, no el cuerpo de SOAP. Este es el modo de autenticación que usa el modo de seguridad TransportWithMessageCredentials. Solo se firman los encabezados SOAP porque la autenticación se realiza mediante credenciales de mensaje.

3.1.3 IssuedTokenOverTransport
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente no se autentica en el servicio, como tal, sino que presenta un token emitido por un servicio de token de seguridad (STS) y demuestra el conocimiento de una clave compartida. El token emitido aparece en la capa SOAP como un token de apoyo respaldado que siempre se envía desde el iniciador al destinatario. 3.1.4 KerberosOverTransport
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente se autentica en el servicio mediante un vale kerberos. El token kerberos aparece en la capa SOAP como un token auxiliar de respaldo. El servicio se autentica mediante un certificado X.509 en la capa de transporte. El enlace es un enlace de transporte.

3.1.5 SspiNegotiatedOverTransport
Con este modo se usa un protocolo de negociación para realizar la autenticación de cliente y servidor. Kerberos se usa si es posible; de lo contrario, NTLM. El SCT resultante aparece en la capa SOAP como un token de soporte de respaldo que se envía siempre desde el iniciador al destinatario. El servicio se autentica además en la capa de transporte mediante un certificado X.509. El enlace utilizado es un enlace de transporte. 3.2 Uso de certificados X.509 para la autenticación de servicio
En esta sección se describen los siguientes modos de autenticación: MutualCertificate WSS1.0, Mutual CertificateDuplex, MutualCertificate WSS1.1, AnonymousForCertificate, UserNameForCertificate y IssuedTokenForCertificate.
3.2.1 MutualCertificate WSS1.0
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente se autentica mediante un certificado X.509 que aparece en la capa SOAP como token de iniciador. 3.2.3 Uso de SymmetricBinding con autenticación de servicio X.509
"WSS10" proporcionó compatibilidad limitada para escenarios con tokens X509. Por ejemplo, no había ninguna manera de proporcionar protección de firma y cifrado para los mensajes que usan solo el token X509 del servicio. "WSS11" introdujo el uso de EncryptedKey como token simétrico. Ahora se podría usar una clave temporal cifrada para el certificado X.509 del servicio para la protección de mensajes de solicitud y respuesta. WS-SecurityPolicy describe este patrón mediante SymmetricBinding con el token X509 de servicio como token de protección.

Los modos de autenticación anteriores solo difieren según los tokens auxiliares que usan. 3.2.5 NombreDeUsuarioParaCertificado
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente se autentica en el servicio mediante un token de nombre de usuario que aparece en la capa SOAP como un token auxiliar firmado. El servicio se autentica en el cliente mediante un certificado X.509. El enlace utilizado es un enlace simétrico con el token de protección que genera el cliente, cifrado con la clave pública del servicio.

3.2.7 IssuedTokenForCertificate
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente no se autentica en el servicio, como tal, sino que presenta un token emitido por un STS y demuestra el conocimiento de una clave compartida. El token emitido aparece en la capa SOAP como un token auxiliar de respaldo. El servicio se autentica en el cliente mediante un certificado X.509. El enlace utilizado es un enlace simétrico con el token de protección que genera el cliente, cifrado con la clave pública del servicio.

3.4 IssuedToken
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente no se autentica en el servicio, como tal, sino que el cliente presenta un token emitido por un STS y demuestra el conocimiento de una clave compartida. 3.5 Uso de SslNegotiated para la autenticación de servicio
En esta sección se describe un grupo de modos de autenticación que utilizan una vinculación simétrica en el que el token de protección es un Token de Contexto de Seguridad según WS-SecureConversation (WS-SC), cuyo valor de clave se negocia mediante la ejecución del protocolo TLS a través de mensajes RST/RSTR de WS-Trust (WS-T). Los detalles de la implementación del apretón de manos TLS mediante WS-Trust se describen en TLSNEGO. Aquí en los ejemplos de mensajes supondremos que SCT con un contexto de seguridad asociado ya se establece a través de un protocolo de enlace.
El enlace utilizado es un enlace simétrico con las siguientes propiedades;

3.5.1 Directiva para la autenticación de servicio SslNegotiated
La directiva para todos los modos de autenticación en esta sección es similar y solo difiere por los tokens específicos de soporte o respaldo firmados que se usan.
3.5.2 AnonymousForSslNegotiated
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente es anónimo y el servicio se autentica mediante un certificado X.509. El enlace usado es una instancia de enlace simétrico como se describe en la versión 3.5.1 anterior.

3.5.4 IssuedTokenForSslNegotiated
Con este modo de autenticación, el cliente no se autentica en el servicio, como tal, sino que presenta un token emitido por un STS y demuestra el conocimiento de una clave compartida. El token emitido aparece en la capa SOAP como un token auxiliar de respaldo. El servicio se autentica mediante un certificado X.509. El enlace usado es una instancia de enlace simétrico como se describe en la versión 3.5.1 anterior.

3.7 SecureConversation
La vinculación utilizada es una vinculación simétrica en donde el token de protección es un SCT por WS-SecureConversation (WS-SC). El SCT se negocia mediante WS-Trust (WS-Trust) o WS-SecureConversation (WS-SC) según un enlace anidado, que es en sí mismo un enlace simétrico que usa un protocolo de negociación. El protocolo de negociación usará Kerberos para realizar la autenticación de cliente y servidor si es posible. Si no se puede utilizar Kerberos, se volverá a NTLM.
