Les protocoles de sécurité des services web fournissent des mécanismes de sécurité des services Web qui couvrent toutes les exigences de sécurité de la messagerie d’entreprise existantes. Cette section décrit les détails de Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) (implémentés dans le SecurityBindingElement) pour les protocoles de sécurité des services Web suivants.
WCF, version 1, fournit 17 modes d’authentification qui peuvent être utilisés comme base pour la configuration de la sécurité des services Web. Chaque mode est optimisé pour un ensemble courant d’exigences de déploiement, comme :
- Informations d’identification utilisées pour authentifier le client et le service.
- Mécanismes de protection de la sécurité des messages ou des transports.
- Modèles d’échange de messages.

Les points de terminaison utilisant ces modes d’authentification peuvent exprimer leurs exigences de sécurité à l’aide de WS-SecurityPolicy (WS-SP). Ce document décrit la structure des messages d’en-tête de sécurité et d’infrastructure pour chaque mode d’authentification et fournit des exemples de stratégies et de messages.
WCF tire parti de WS-SecureConversation pour fournir une prise en charge sécurisée des sessions pour protéger les échanges multi-messages entre les applications. Pour plus d’informations sur l’implémentation, consultez « Sessions sécurisées » ci-dessous.
Outre les modes d’authentification, WCF fournit des paramètres pour contrôler les mécanismes de protection courants qui s’appliquent à la plupart des modes d’authentification basés sur la sécurité des messages, par exemple : ordre des opérations de signature et de chiffrement, suites d’algorithmes, dérivation de clé et confirmation de signature.

1. Profils de jeton
Les spécifications de sécurité des services web représentent les informations d’identification en tant que jetons de sécurité. WCF prend en charge les types de jetons suivants :
1.1 UsernameToken
WCF suit les profils UsernameToken10 et UsernameToken11 avec les contraintes suivantes :
L’attribut R1101 PasswordType sur l’élément UsernameToken\Password DOIT être omis ou avoir une valeur #PasswordText (valeur par défaut).
Il est possible d’implémenter le #PasswordDigest à l’aide de l’extensibilité. Il a été observé que #PasswordDigest était souvent pris à tort pour être un mécanisme de protection des mots de passe suffisamment sûr. Mais #PasswordDigest ne peut pas servir de substitut au chiffrement de UsernameToken. L’objectif principal de #PasswordDigest est la protection contre les attaques par relecture. Dans les modes d’authentification WCF, les menaces d’attaque par relecture sont atténuées à l’aide de signatures de message.
B1102 WCF n’émet jamais les sous-éléments Nonce et Created de UsernameToken.
Ces sous-éléments ont pour but de permettre la détection de relecture. WCF utilise plutôt des signatures de message.
Oasis WSS SOAP Message Security UsernameToken Profile 1.1 (UsernameToken11) a introduit la dérivation de clé à partir de la fonctionnalité de mot de passe.
Le mot de passe UsernameToken B1103 ne doit pas être utilisé pour la dérivation de clé et, par conséquent, pour les opérations de chiffrement.
Justification : les mots de passe sont généralement considérés comme trop faibles pour être utilisés pour les opérations de chiffrement.
1.2 Jeton X509
WCF prend en charge les certificats X509v3 comme type d’informations d’identification et suit X509TokenProfile1.0 et X509TokenProfile1.1 avec les contraintes suivantes :
R1201 L’attribut ValueType sur l’élément BinarySecurityToken doit avoir la valeur #X509v3 lorsqu’il contient un certificat X509v3.
Le profil de jeton WSS X509 1.0 et 1.1 définit également #X509PKIPathv1 et #PKCS7 en tant que types de valeur. WCF ne prend pas en charge ces types.
R1202 Si une extension SubjectKeyIdentifier (SKI) est présente dans un certificat X509, wsse :KeyIdentifier doit être utilisé pour les références externes au jeton, avec l’attribut ValueType comme #X509SubjectKeyIdentifier et son contenu la valeur codée en base64 de l’extension SKI du certificat.
Les références SKI sont largement implémentées et éprouvées comme un type de référence externe hautement interopérable.
R1203 Une référence externe au jeton de sécurité X509 NE DOIT PAS utiliser ds :X509IssuerSerial.
R1204 Si X509TokenProfile1.1 est utilisé, une référence externe au jeton de sécurité X509 DOIT utiliser l’empreinte numérique introduite par WS-Security 1.1.
WCF prend en charge X509IssuerSerial. Toutefois, il existe des problèmes d’interopérabilité avec X509IssuerSerial : WCF utilise une chaîne pour comparer deux valeurs de X509IssuerSerial. Par conséquent, si un réorganise les composants du nom de l’objet et envoie à un service WCF une référence à un certificat, il se peut qu’il ne soit pas trouvé.
1.3 Jeton Kerberos
WCF prend en charge KerberosTokenProfile1.1 à des fins d’authentification Windows avec les contraintes suivantes :
R1301 Un jeton Kerberos doit contenir la valeur d’un AP_REQ Kerberos v4 emballé selon les définitions de GSS_API et de la spécification Kerberos, et doit avoir l’attribut ValueType avec la valeur #GSS_Kerberosv5_AP_REQ.
WCF utilise un AP-REQ Kerberos encapsulé GSS, et non pas un AP-REQ nu. Il s’agit d’une bonne pratique de sécurité.
1.4 Jeton SAML v1.1
WCF prend en charge les profils de jeton SAML WSS 1.0 et 1.1 pour les jetons SAML v1.1. Il est possible d’implémenter d’autres versions des formats de jeton SAML.
1.5 Jeton de contexte de sécurité
WCF prend en charge le jeton de contexte de sécurité (SCT) introduit dans WS-SecureConversation. SCT est utilisé pour représenter un contexte de sécurité établi dans SecureConversation ainsi que les protocoles de négociation binaire TLS et SSPI, décrits ci-dessous.
2. Paramètres courants de sécurité des messages
2.1 TimeStamp
La présence de l'horodatage est contrôlée à l'aide de la propriété IncludeTimestamp de la classe SecurityBindingElement . WCF sérialise systématiquement wsse:TimeStamp avec les champs wsse:Created et wsse:Expires. Le wsse:TimeStamp est toujours signé si une signature est utilisée.
2.2 Ordonnance de protection
WCF prend en charge l’ordre de protection des messages « Sign Before Encrypt » et « Encrypt Before Sign » (Security Policy 1.2). « Sign Before Encrypt » est recommandé pour des raisons telles que : les messages protégés par Encrypt Before Sign sont ouverts aux attaques de substitution de signature, sauf si le mécanisme WS-Security 1.1 SignatureConfirmation est utilisé et qu’une signature sur le contenu chiffré rend l’audit plus difficile.
2.3 Protection des signatures
Lorsque le chiffrement avant le signe est utilisé, il est recommandé de protéger la signature pour empêcher les attaques par force brute de deviner le contenu chiffré ou la clé de signature (en particulier lorsqu’un jeton personnalisé est utilisé avec du matériel de clé faible).

WCF prend en charge toutes les suites d’algorithmes répertoriées dans la stratégie de sécurité 1.2.
2.5 Dérivation de clé
WCF utilise la « dérivation de clé pour les clés symétriques », comme décrit dans WS-SecureConversation.
2.6 Confirmation de signature
La confirmation de signature peut être utilisée comme protection contre les attaques de l’homme intermédiaire pour protéger l’ensemble de signatures.
2.7 Disposition de l’en-tête de sécurité
Chaque mode d’authentification décrit une disposition spécifique pour l’en-tête de sécurité. Les éléments de l’en-tête de sécurité sont semi-ordonnés. Pour définir l’ordre des éléments enfants de l’en-tête de sécurité, la stratégie WS-Security définit les modes de disposition d'en-têtes de sécurité suivants :

WCF prend en charge les quatre modes de disposition d’en-tête de sécurité. La structure d’en-tête de sécurité et les exemples de messages pour les modes d’authentification ci-dessous suivent le mode « Strict ».
3. Paramètres courants de sécurité des messages
Cette section fournit des exemples de stratégies pour chaque mode d’authentification, ainsi que des exemples montrant la structure d’en-tête de sécurité dans les messages échangés par le client et le service.
3.1 Protection du transport
WCF fournit cinq modes d’authentification qui utilisent un transport sécurisé pour protéger les messages ; UserNameOverTransport, CertificateOverTransport, KerberosOverTransport, IssuedTokenOverTransport et SspiNegotiatedOverTransport.
Ces modes d’authentification sont construits à l’aide de la liaison de transport décrite dans SecurityPolicy. Pour le mode d'authentification UserNameOverTransport, le UsernameToken est un jeton d'appui signé. Pour les autres modes d’authentification, le jeton apparaît comme un jeton d’approbation signé. L’annexe C.1.2 et C.1.3 de SecurityPolicy décrivent en détail la disposition d’en-tête de sécurité. Les exemples d’en-têtes de sécurité suivants montrent la disposition Stricte pour un mode d’authentification donné.
La valeur de la propriété « Clés dérivées » pour les jetons dans tous les cas est « false ».
Les valeurs des différentes propriétés de la liaison de transport sont les suivantes :

3.1.1 UsernameOverTransport
Avec ce mode d’authentification, le client s’authentifie avec un jeton de nom d’utilisateur qui apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton de prise en charge signé qui est toujours envoyé de l’initiateur au destinataire. Le service est authentifié à l’aide d’un certificat X.509 au niveau de la couche de transport. La liaison utilisée est une liaison de transport.

3.1.2 CertificateOverTransport
Avec ce mode d’authentification, le client s’authentifie à l’aide d’un certificat X.509 qui apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton de prise en charge qui est toujours envoyé de l’initiateur au destinataire. Le service est authentifié à l’aide d’un certificat X.509 au niveau de la couche de transport. La liaison utilisée est une liaison de transport. CertificateOverTransport signe uniquement les en-têtes SOAP, et non pas le corps SOAP. Il s’agit du mode d’authentification utilisé par le mode de sécurité TransportWithMessageCredentials. Seuls les en-têtes SOAP sont signés, car l’authentification est effectuée à l’aide des informations d’identification de message.

3.1.3 IssuedTokenOverTransport
Avec ce mode d’authentification, le client ne s’authentifie pas auprès du service, par exemple, mais présente plutôt un jeton émis par un service stS (Security Token Service) et prouve la connaissance d’une clé partagée. Le jeton émis apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton de prise en charge qui est toujours envoyé de l’initiateur au destinataire. Le service est authentifié à l’aide d’un certificat X.509 au niveau de la couche de transport. La liaison utilisée est une liaison de transport.

3.1.5 SspiNegotiatedOverTransport
Avec ce mode, un protocole de négociation est utilisé pour effectuer l’authentification client et serveur. Kerberos est utilisé si possible, sinon NTLM. Le SCT résultant apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton d'approbation de prise en charge qui est toujours envoyé de l’initiateur au destinataire. Le service est également authentifié au niveau de la couche de transport par un certificat X.509. 3.2.3 Utilisation de SymmetricBinding avec l’authentification du service X.509
« WSS10 » a fourni une prise en charge limitée des scénarios avec des jetons X509. Par exemple, il n’existe aucun moyen de fournir une protection de signature et de chiffrement pour les messages utilisant uniquement le jeton X509 de service. « WSS11 » a introduit l’utilisation de EncryptedKey en tant que jeton symétrique. Désormais, une clé temporaire chiffrée pour le certificat X.509 du service peut être utilisée pour la protection des messages de demande et de réponse. Les modes d’authentification décrits dans la section 3.4 ci-dessous utilisent ce modèle.
WS-SecurityPolicy décrit ce modèle à l’aide de SymmetricBinding avec le jeton Service X509 comme jeton de protection.

3.2.5 UserNameForCertificate
Avec ce mode d’authentification, le client s’authentifie auprès du service à l’aide d’un jeton de nom d’utilisateur qui apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton de prise en charge signé. Le service s’authentifie auprès du client à l’aide d’un certificat X.509. 3.2.7 IssuedTokenForCertificate
Avec ce mode d’authentification, le client ne s’authentifie pas auprès du service, mais présente plutôt un jeton émis par un STS et prouve la connaissance d’une clé partagée. Le jeton émis apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton de soutien d'approbation. Le service s’authentifie auprès du client à l’aide d’un certificat X.509. La liaison utilisée est une liaison symétrique avec le jeton de protection étant une clé générée par le client, chiffrée avec la clé publique du service.

3.5 Utilisation de Ssl Négocié pour l’authentification de service

3.5.3 UserNameForSslNegotiated
Avec ce mode d’authentification, le client s’authentifie à l’aide d’un jeton de nom d’utilisateur qui apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton de support signé. Le service est authentifié à l’aide d’un certificat X.509. La liaison utilisée est une instance de liaison symétrique, comme décrit dans la version 3.5.1.

3.5.4 IssuedTokenForSslNegotiated
Avec ce mode d’authentification, le client ne s’authentifie pas auprès du service, par exemple, mais présente plutôt un jeton émis par un STS et prouve la connaissance d’une clé partagée. Le jeton émis apparaît au niveau de la couche SOAP en tant que jeton de soutien d'approbation. Le service est authentifié à l’aide d’un certificat X.509. La liaison utilisée est une instance de liaison symétrique, comme décrit dans la version 3.5.1 ci-dessus.

3.7 SecureConversation
La liaison utilisée est une liaison symétrique, le jeton de protection étant un SCT tel que défini dans WS-SC (WS-SecureConversation). Le SCT est négocié à l’aide de WS-Trust (WS-Trust) ou de WS-SecureConversation (WS-SC) en fonction d’une liaison imbriquée, qui est elle-même une liaison symétrique qui utilise un protocole de négociation. Le protocole de négociation utilise Kerberos pour effectuer l’authentification du client et du serveur si possible. Si Kerberos ne peut pas être utilisé, il revient à NTLM.
