DtsException.ErrorCode Property

Gets the error code that creates the appropriate exception class. This field is read-only.

A Long that contains the HRESULT error code.

Notes

Depending on the error code, one of the classes that derive from DtsException is created. For example, if the error code returned is 0x8, the DtsScriptingException class is created. This allows you to write code for the different types of exception classes that are returned, instead of coding against the generic DtsException. This class inherits from ApplicationException.
