SQL Distributed Management Objects (SQL-DMO) strings are always returned as OLE BSTR objects. A C/C++ application obtains a reference to the string. The application must release the reference by using SysFreeString.

For localized versions of SQL Server, the Alias property is an English name for the language record. For all other versions, Alias is the localized language name.
