This feature uses services such as Bing and Azure Maps that transmit data—such as store location, latitude/longitude, and country/region code—outside your compliance boundary to obtain events, holidays, and weather information used to generate recommendations.
Your use of Bing is governed by the Microsoft Services Agreement and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Noncommercial use limitations don't apply to products available for a fee through Microsoft volume license.
The Data Protection Addendum doesn't apply to your use of Bing within Microsoft Generative AI Services Previews.
Prerequisites and environment setup
To install the Store Operations Agent in Copilot Studio, you need:
A Copilot Studio tenant administrator account. For more information, see Assign licenses and manage access to Copilot Studio.
Copilot Studio message credits added to your tenant (prepaid or pay-as-you-go).
Dataverse capacity of at least 1 GB for each environment. For more information, see Create and manage environments in the Power Platform admin center. If capacity isn't available, you might need additional add-on licensing.
A Power Apps Premium license, Power Apps per user plan (P1 legacy license), or Power Apps per app plan (P2 legacy license) license to create dataflows to ingest product data into Dataverse.
Integrations with the relevant data sources.
Install Store Operations Agent
You can create the Store Operations Agent in your environment using Copilot Studio. Microsoft provides a ready-made template for this agent, which simplifies deployment. If your tenant is enrolled in the preview program, you can proceed with the installation.
To install the agent, perform the following steps:
Go to Microsoft Copilot Studio and sign in.
Note
Copilot Studio can also be accessed through the Power Apps maker portal in some previews.
Select the environment (top-right corner) where you want to install the agent. Use the environment switcher if you need to leave the default environment.
In the left navigation, select Agents. Under Install a managed agent, select Store Operations (preview).
In the separate window that opens, select Install.
The agent is provided as a managed solution that includes initial topics, flows, and a built-in connection to the Store Operations Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. The installation provisions required components such as the Dataverse database and MCP server connections that the agent needs to operate.
Select Install to add the agent to your environment. You're prompted to confirm the installation. The installation process guides you to provide details such as connection references at the appropriate steps. You see a preview banner because the solution is in preview.
