The AffinityIOMask property sets the affinity IO mask configuration option. This property is used to increase performance of input and output operations on symmetric multiprocessor systems that are operating under heavy load. A specific thread can be associated with a specific processor. Microsoft SQL Server can be allocated specific processors and precluded from specific processors.
