Free Windows 8 Virtual Labs available NOW, no Windows 8 required

What?  Did I get that right?  Seriously?  Learn how to program Windows 8 without Windows 8?  I don’t get it.

Here is how it works:

  1. Someplace in the internet, a server is working feverishly to serve you, yes you, Windows 8 on your computer, even if you are running Vista.
  2. You go to the address: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/jj206431.aspx or else Microsoft will have to layoff that server, and you don’t want that do you?
  3. Do the things you have to do to get the server to serve you Windows 8, not much, but do it, please, help that poor server keep it’s job
  4. Use the lab manual to guide you through the labs
  5. Later get Windows 8 installed on your system
  6. Build an epic manual system, make a contract with famous authors and sell their books through your system, keep a large profit, become rich.  Seriously.

These labs are for either C# or JavaScript, make a cookbook that you could repurpose into a textbook, art book or technical manual device.  Seriously 8 virtual labs for C-sharp and 8 virtual labs for JavaScript.  Or both.  Yeah, do both, I am.  Really!

So zoom over to https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/jj206431.aspx and work carefully through each of the virtual labs that works completely online.

Because if you don’t, that server will be FIRED.  Do you want that on your consciousness.

    Emmm... I got the impression that since these Labs works under RP version of Windows 8, they'll be moved to Win8 RTM evaluation edition sooner or later.

    Cheong00, Thank you for the comment.  Your guess is as good as mine on this one.  I think that the important thing is that this material is available for schools that might not be able to upgrade their computers till next year. Otherwise, it is very inexpensive to upgrade to the next version of Windows 8 for most people so hopefully they will do so. Again, good to hear from you. Sam

    Mark, I have no idea why visual basic isn't included.  But I wouldn't read too much into the lack of VB.
