XAML/C++: Jedi OutCast and Jedi Academy Open Source?

OMG, which stands for Oh my gosh, I am going to church in a few minutes, but just discovered this while reading Softpedia or whatever.

Sadly, LucasArts shut down, bummer.

Oh well, Disney knows what they are doing from a business point of view.  License product to third party producers cuts down your risk.

Makes sense, now who are these third party producers?

  • Those folks would be you, and I would recommend that you use VC++ with Team Foundation Server to produce the next Jedi magic!  While paying Disney a license fee.  That’s the way it works.  Except for the Jedi Academy, they are GNU GPL, so not clear on the licensing on that.
  • How does Activision fit into all of this?
  • Can I use the graphics however I want?
    • Since I work at Microsoft I will have to figure this out.
    • What about you?  It’s your problem, but make sure to read the comic book on fair use at:
