| Automatic | The sender determines authentication requirements. |
|
| Certless | No certification is required for the connection and mutual authentication should not be performed. If this type is defined with mutual, mutual authentication takes precedent. |

| Mutual | Mutual authentication is required. |
|
| None | Authentication is never performed. |
|
| WindowsAuth | User authentication to the WindowsAuth VDIR is required. If this is authentication type is set, and credentials are not defined, the user account is used. |
